Heart and Soul missions reaches beyond Knoxville to the world

Our heart has always been bigger than one city. We want to fill heaven from Knoxville—but also help fill heaven from the globe. We believe every one of us is called to God’s mission by praying, sending, or going. In the next year, we’ll send two short-term teams and partner with trusted organizations already doing meaningful work—joining what God is doing and making an eternal impact together.

Guatemala | Sept 28-Oct 5 2026

We’re heading back to Guatemala for the third time as a church, led by Darren and Penny Light, continuing to build on the relationships and momentum from past trips.

We’ll partner with the local church to minister to children, host a marriage conference, and complete practical service projects that support their ongoing work. This trip is about long-term investment — encouraging leaders, strengthening families, and supporting what God is already doing in the community.

Kenya | February 1-11 2027

Join us February 1–11 as we travel to Kenya to serve alongside Nairobi International Church, led by Noah Marshall. We’ll partner with Reverend Denis Pamba and his team, supporting their outreach efforts and engaging in hands-on ministry and relational evangelism.

A key part of the trip will center around the church’s water well, which serves the community and creates opportunities for 1:1 conversations, prayer, and sharing the gospel. Our goal is to strengthen long-term partnerships and support what God is already doing in Nairobi.

Estimated cost: $3,500 (includes airfare, lodging, meals, and transportation).

What if I can’t go but want to be involved?
You can support financially, pray for the team, or help with trip preparation. Missions is something we participate in together as a church.

What are the requirements to go on a mission trip?

Be actively serving on a team at our church. Be involved in a Party. Complete the application and interview process. Attend required training and team meetings
